Dr. Palm began his medical training at the Karolinska Institute, in Stockholm, Sweden. At the end of his preclinical years, he transferred to Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he obtained his medical degree. His first residency was in Family Practice at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida. His second residency was in Emergency Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where he served as chief resident. He is presently the Director of the Simulation Division for the Emergency Department. He is passionate about education and is an award-winning teacher. His interests include construction of low cost task trainers for procedural didactics, micro simulation and mastery learning. Dr. Palm is an avid runner. He is married to Janine and they have 3 sons.
