Dr. Crosby completed medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, residency in emergency medicine and a fellowship in international medicine and global health at UAB. He has special training in tropical medicine and traveler’s health from the Gorgas Memorial Institute of Tropical Medicine in Lima, Peru. He has a special area of interest in international medicine, traveler’s health, and occupational medicine.
Dr. Crosby has lectured on emergency medicine topics both nationally and internationally, and has a passion for medical education, especially in the resource-limited setting. He has worked clinically in East Africa, Asia, and South America. He is involved in several UAB health-system initiatives and also serves as the assistant medical director for UAB Employee Health.
